Apocalypse

Apocalypse means “revealing or unveiling.” In an apocalyptic narrative, the writer (often using a pseudonym) recounts visions or dreams about heavenly or cosmic mysteries. These visions help to interpret the political, cultural, or earthly realities of the time. They are often interpreted by followers as depicting the end times.
